Abstract

O presente ensaio visa investigar aspectos da trajetória da literatura policial de Rubem Fonseca partindo de seu primeiro romance, O caso Morel (1973). Baseados nas propostas de Jacques Rancière e Tzvetan Todorov acerca da literatura policial, estabelecemos uma conexão com o trabalho de Fonseca e analisamos O caso Morel identificando elementos-chave, como uma virada na obra de Fonseca marcada pelo aumento da violência e a presença da cidade e do sexo.
