Abstract
Is it possible to account for the specificity of Lusophone Africa in the context of globalization and postcolonialism without relegating it to the “margins”? Lusophone Africa: Beyond Independence offers a thoughtful critical intervention on this topic by discussing the entanglement of each of the five Portuguese-speaking countries in Africa within a global condition of cross-cultural symbolic and material exchanges.
