Abstract

In the present essay, I examine politico-cultural issues related to the process of globalization and the current moment of crisis and neo-liberal ideology. I explore possible solutions to the crisis that lead to the affirmation of more democratic regulatory tendencies, but that also have in mind the alteration of paradigms designed to preserve hegemonic formulations.

Benjamin Abdala Júnior, Universidade de São Paulo/CNPq-Brasil

Benjamin Abdala Junior is Professor at the University of São Paulo and researcher 1A of Brazil's National Commission for Research. Between books, editions and articles, he has published a total of forty-seven titles, among them, A escrita neorrealista (1981); De vôos e ilhas: literatura e comunitarismos (2003); Literatura, história e política (2007); Literatura comparada e relações comunitárias, hoje (2012) .
